New Knowledge Exchange Hubs to support the Creative Economy

UWE is teaming up with the Universities of Bristol, Bath, Exeter and Cardiff, as well as Bristol's Watershed and a wide range of creative industry partners, to form the new Research and Enterprise in Arts and Creative Technologies (REACT) Hub for South West England and South Wales. The other three lead institutions, apart from UWE, are the University of Lancaster, the University of Dundee, and Queen Mary (University of London). The Hub will be based in Watershed's Pervasive Music Studio and be directed by Professor John Dovey, with Bath University's Dr Dane Stanton Fraser as one of the Hub's Knowledge Exchange champions. The Hub aims to encourage significant interactions between research and the creative economy to generate wider social, economic and cultural benefits.
